From the 12 crimes reported nationwide on Wednesday 30th
Police had made one arrest in relation to the 12 crimes reported nationwide according to the daily crime summary report provided by the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police and Chief of Operations.
The 6 crimes reported in the Nation’s capital include wounding, arson, stealing, rape, willful murder and aiding escape.
Brief statements of crimes as reported by NCD/Central Command;
Port Moresby – Wounding – Pending – Victim/Complainant namely Rita Wampo F/31 from Kitema village in Western Highlands Province currently residing at Erima reported that the suspect namely SK Kundi from the same province badly wounded her. Port Moresby – Rape – Pending – It was reported that a driver of a PMV Bus registration P474D namely Gibson from Western Highlands Province picked up the victim residing at Morata Two, Power Station at Gordon Bus Stop and drove her to Morata One, Giburi Street. The suspect allegedly sexually penetrated the victim in the bus several times and he later took her to his house and continuously raped her for almost two weeks.
