World Biodiversity Day is celebrated around the world today
Not only is this a time for awareness on the world’s biodiversity but many can pause and look back at nature to see how we as entrusted keepers of this planet are contributing to the impact and threats in the decline of species.
POM Nature Park Wildlife Manager, Ishimu Bebe says it’s very important to know about the status and trend the country and the world is going through.
The Nature Park has over 500 different animals that are on display.
For the past seven years, the park has continued to educate the general public on the different endangered species and display animals for people to see.
Mr. Bebe says, when looking at biodiversity we are not just looking at animals and plants.
As the world faces the global pandemic, every day we must look at how we contribute to the well –being of our planet.
The Park has three ongoing campaigns that educate citizens on issues that matter to our natural environment.
