By Adelaide Sirox Kari, EMTV News, Port Moresby

NCDC Metropolitan Superintendent, Perou N’dranou is calling out to a victim’s family to come out and help with an investigation against known pedophile.

The suspect 43year old Salias Hombie commonly known as Alfie from East Sepik Province was arrested again for abusing a 12-year-old girl inside his car along Toliman Circuit, Gerehu.

During a police motorized patrol the suspect was caught in the act, but since the arrest, on November 30th the victim’s mother has kept the victim away from police and refused to assist with police investigation.

Met Sup N’dranou says the woman may have acted against her will under duress or she was probably threatened and told to disrupt the investigation.

Met Sup said it is a pedophile case that requires the process of criminal investigation. He called on the victim’s family and suspect’s family to condemn such act and assist police in the investigation.
