Police Attend Court File Preparation Workshop

Over 20 members of the Special Service Division have commenced a workshop on court file preparation, a critical function of duties of being a police officer.

Conducted by trainers from the Bomana Police College, the workshop is aimed at up-skilling Mobile Squad members when making arrests and preparing charge sheets.

Regional Training Officer, Senior Inspector Paul Kipak, said the training is necessary for all policemen and women because of the increase in matters being thrown out of court on technical grounds.

Kipak said a court file should contain all necessary documents including a charge sheet and witness statements.

A member of the Mobile Squad based in Kerowagi is also attending the workshop.
