PNG Table Tennis Association is hoping for a better outcome in the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
Preparations for the games are on target and a timely boost from corporate sponsors has elevated the hopes of the team.
Table Tennis in PNG, especially in the national capital is growing its popularity and is already attracting and bidding for sponsors.
But there is room for improvement with the raw talents taking up the sport.

The Glasgow games will be an avenue for players to refine their skills in preparation for the 2015 Pacific Games.
Ten players have been selected to fly to the PNG Games.

Support towards the team has been forthcoming. Recently, they received K10, 000 from a Chinese company: PING AN Investment Ltd.
Rea Loi says the cheque given will go towards expenses like securing training venues, and most of it will accommodate for the commonwealth games.
