Red Cross PNG has been visiting schools throughout the country to assist with blood donation. But with the academic year winding down, the Port Moresby General Hospital have begun the Corporate Blood Donation Drive to get corporate bodies involved to assist fill the blood bank and reserve, throughout the festive period.

As part of their community service program to mould the best rugby players, PNGRFU have climbed on board the Corporate Blood Donation Drive for Port Moresby General Hospital.

The blood donation drive allows athletes to give back a small but worthy contribution in saving a life. And is an opportunity to educate them on small but vital information about their physiology.

PNGRFU General Manager, Frank Genia, Pukpuks U-19s Coach, Sydney Wesley and members of the Pukpuks 15s Squad, Jedaiah Katal, Jeremy Kevue, Liebert Suand and Rocquie Ngaffin were some of the doners.

The ‘Corporate Blood Donation Drive’ will end next week to conclude the program and they are optimistic that more individuals will participate in the blood donation next year.
