Body of Christ, an Organization comprising Senior Pastors from Pentecostal and Revival churches in PNG, have called on Prime Minister Peter O’Neill to meet with them.
In a news conference, Body of Christ Chairman Reverend Joseph Walters said God is in the business of shaking this nation and as they are responsible servants of God, they want to meet and dialogue with the country’s leaders.
Reverend Walters and the Senior Pastors, who are members of the Body of Christ, also refuted claims that the church was involved in today’s protest march.
Divine intervention and guidance is needed during these political times of uncertainty in Papua New Guinea, says the Body of Christ, led by Chairman Reverend Joseph Walters.
They believe that the current situation is God’s doing, and called on Christians to rise up and pray.
The Body of Christ maintained that the Church is a neutral body, not involved in the protest march at Unagi Oval as speculated by the public.
The man of God said the Church has a mandate to guide leaders on the right path if they seem to be going off-track, similar to what prophets did during the Old Testament days of the Bible.
The Body of Christ also wants to meet with Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill, to share with him and encourage him on spiritual truths, something which they say is important during this time.
