As of yesterday (Wednesday 22nd of November ) games day three of the of the 17th Pacific Games in Honiara , Solomon Islands, the Medal Tally stands at ;

As of yesterday, New Caledonia still stands at first place with the most gold medals won as well as most number of medals won. Papua New Guinea still stands at 7th place with four(4) gold,4(four) silver and (7) seven bronze medals.

Kiribati and the Northern Mariana Islands made the top ten after booting both the Cook Islands and Federated state’s of Micronesia off the top ten rank.

 In the men’s division of Basketball yesterday , New Caledonia secured a hard-fought 87–78 victory over Papua New Guinea (PNG), with the intense battle on the court leaving fans on the edge of their seats, highlighting the competitive spirit of the Sol2023 basketball tournament.

In Sports update for today Thursday 23rd of November , and according to Team PNG game schedule , Today , we have Swimming Preliminary for Freestyle for both male and female in the 100metres, again preliminary for men and female for butterfly ,50metres  , women and men’s 100metres breast stroke and 4x50m free style  relay preliminary.

 Also today, our Table tennis athletes both male and female will play against their opponents in various categories. In men’s volleyball, PNG will go head to head with Tonga and Tuvalu in the Quarter finals.

In Weightlifting in the 96kg men’s Sepa Simoi and Noi Igo in the women’s 87kg both will try to bag another gold medal for team PNG today. In Golf both our male and female golfers tee off this morning and in the Men’s rugby 7s team PNG were victorious over team Wallis Futuna with a score line of 35-0 earlier this morning.
