NSL Official Draw Released

The National Soccer League competition draw was officially done yesterday at the PNG Football Association Head Office in Port Moresby.

Three matches will be played simultaneously in Madang, Lae and Port Moresby next weekend to kick start the 2018/2019 season.

The first NSL weekend draw was done by National Soccer League Chairman Benny Popotai when teams were randomly piked in the presence of PNGFA representatives and the Media.

The games format is a League System, with the matches to be played across three provincial centres.

Commencing this Saturday the 13th of January, Madang FC will play host to FC Morobe Wawens at the Laiwaden Oval in Madang.

While over in Lae, Toti City Dwellers will host Besta PNG United at the Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium while Southern Strikers to play FC Momase back in Port Moresby.

All 3 matches are set for 3pm kick-off with the formalities to be done by NSL Chairman Benny Popotai, PNGFA Senior Vice President John Wesley Gonjuan and NSL Deputy Chairman Miok Komolong

For the teams seeking or have acquired the service of foreign players there are certain limitations to the number of players allowed in the competition, highlighted by Gonjuan

Gonjuan also added that match officials officiating the games throughout this season will be the OFC and FIFA certified C license holders.

The Chairman also took the liberty to welcome the news team in the competition and wish them well in their campaign.
