New Guinea Island Police Needs Additional Resource to Run 2017 Election Security Operations

The New Guinea Island Regional Police command has indicated that they will need additional resources to run the 2017 National Election security operations in the region.

The regional command hierarchies say they will seek help from their provincial government.

Meanwhile, despite public speculations of police duties being diverted to the elections, the heads of police in the region say normal police duties will continue during the elections.
