New Britain Palm Oil Limited Turns 50

West New Britain province; home of the oil palm and for the past 50 years home of palm oil giant, New Britain Palm Oil limited.

The company yesterday marked their 50th anniversary in Papua New Guinea, first incorporated in the country in 1967 and has since grown into the largest private sector employer in the country.

NBPOL is currently the biggest private employer in PNG and is also the oldest and most successfully operated oil palm company within the country.

To celebrate the company’s golden jubilee, National airline, Air Niugini, has branded their Fokker 70 called Hoskins, with the NBPOL 50 year’s logo.

The logo on the F70 signifies the cooperation and support between both organizations throughout the years.

Air Niugini General Manager, Customers and Markets, Dominic Kaumu, congratulated NBPOL yesterday at the unveiling of the logo and thanked them for their contribution to Air Niugini’s success.
