National Alliance Party Nominates Dominic Itta for Central Bougainville

One of National Alliance Party candidate, and former Parliamentarian of the Autonomous Bougainville Government, Dominic Itta, was nominated on Wednesday April 26, in Arawa, for the Central Bougainville seat.

Itta is contesting against the sitting MP and ruling People’s National Congress Party, Jimmy Miringtoro.

During the nominations he was flanked by the party’s stronghold, led by the Autonomous Bougainville Government’s President, Chief John Momis.

His nomination was accepted and declared as a duly candidate by Returning Officer, Denise Palipal.

After his nomination, Itta told EMTV News he was confident of his leadership.

“We must give hope back to the Autonomous Bougainville Government as our legitimate. Let’s work together to bring Bougainville forward,” he said.

President of the islands Autonomous Bougainville Government, Chief John Momis, gave his support and solidarity to their candidates.

“I have come in to support our candidate Dominic Itta, so I am asking the people of Central Bougainville to support him including candidate for the Bougainville Regional Seat, Patrick Nisira,” said Momis.
