Music Festival Set to Rock Milne Bay Town

A fiesta that is set to rock Milne Bay Town is the ‘Milne Bay Out Loud’ Music Festival set for the 20th and 21st of February, 2021.

The province has a vast array of culture and talent and the festival is a platform to celebrate it.

“The music festival about having fun and playing music, writing original music, encouraging our youths to perform original music and motivate them to start manufacture music,” says Festival Coordinator Owen Abel.

Expected also to be an immense boost for tourism and economic stimulus, the festival will also be an opportunity and exposure for other talented performers to share their music.

“It will also give other well-known artists to perform here in Alotau and experience the beauty of the place,” added Abel.

Unfortunately, Milne Bay’s infamous group ‘Wabo Knights’ will not be able to perform but the committee has already lined up some big-name artists such as Extracts of Alotau, Slayden, and Rhee.

The committee is hoping to make the festival a annual event in the future.
