MP ANNOUNCES PROJECT DEVELOPMENTS

Wapenamanda MP and Minister for Finance Minister Miki Kaeok, announced several major projects development to be taken place in Wapenamanda District in Enga Province.

MP Kaeok announced this while celebrating the 49th Independence Anniversary with the district.

He said the projects including, construction of state of the art main Wapenamanda Market expansion, sealing of Wapenamanda township roads, rehabilitation and modernisation of Mabisanda District Hospital, construction and upgrading of Talyokos Health Centre and Elyakanda Health Centre among other health facilities and aid posts throughout the district.

He said the Wapenamanda District Development Authority would continue to prioritise health, education, law and order, SME and other associated developments going forward.

Minister Kaeok also assured the people of the Lower Lai constituency with the continuous upgrading and eventual sealing of the Wapenamanda – Lower Lai Road and into Baiyer in the Western Highlands Province.

He assured the parents of Wapenamanda District Development Authority’s continuous assistance in tertiary school fees subsidy with K1 million already disbursed to all tertiary institutions throughout the country going forward

Minister Kaeok will also visit the people of the Tsak Valley, Lower Lai Valley and Middle Lai and Aiyel Valley bordering Wabag District respectively.
