Senior Police Officers of Morobe were ordered by the Provincial Police Commander for Morobe, Alex N’drasal, to act with good conduct when carrying out the Christmas and New Year’s Police Operations in the nine districts of Morobe, which starts today.
A briefing on the operation was conducted by the PPC yesterday in Lae.
The Police Station Commanders and Officers in Charge of Police Stations from the nine districts in Morobe, gathered yesterday to be briefed about the police operations.
According to the Provincial Police Commander, Alex N’drasal, they would focus more on, Tewai Siasi, Finchhafen, Markham, Bulolo, Markham and Kabwum District, because the districts they’re isolated and major crimes continue to happen there.
The Provincial Police Operation is funded by the Police Department and the Provincial Government at a cost of over K200 thousand, according to the PPC.
N’drasal warned the officers not to be under the influence of alcohol during the operation. The Christmas and New Year’s Operations began today and will end on the 03 of January, next year.
