Morobe Open defending champion seeks back to back

Damien Jordan, the Morobe Open defending champion has made a good start as he seeks to be the tournaments first ever back to back winner.

The Iraq war veteran has worked on improving his game, as he feels to make history in Lae.

At last years open, Jordan had focused on the positive aspects of his play on the green and has found his preparation for this years tournament a good one.

The Lae golf course poses a challenge. The lay of the course and its physical features raises the degree of difficulty and sticking to the fairway is what Jordan seeks to do.

A few days earlier, during the program, another golfer Martin Dive had spoken of the quality of the field of players, a sentiment that Jordan also expressed.

As an Iraq war veteran, Jordan holds the ANZAC memorials as something special and close to his heart.

After the first official day of the open, Damien Jordan scored 65 -6 2nd from the morning group.
