More Team East Sepik athletes arrive at PNG Games

by Skola Sengi – EM TV, Lae

The second set of Team East Sepik athletes and officials arrived at Lae’s Bugandi Secondary School today.

Team East Sepik has flown their youngest contingent this year to compete at the 6th BSP PNG Games in Lae. Thankful for the warm welcome upon arrival, Team Manager Clarence Hukuha was appreciative of the hospitality.

The team was welcomed by the traditional beat of kundu drums and waves of choruses at Bugandi Secondary School, which will be their home for the next 14 days.

Regardless of the challenges they have faced along the way, Team East Sepik spirits remain high. With a vibrant and young contingent this year, Team East Sepik will be participating in 11 respective sports.

With the hospitality that they have been given thus far upon their arrival at Bugandi Secondary School, Team Manager Clarence Hukuha mentioned that the same favour would be returned upon their stay.

Come game day on Monday, Team East Sepik will put their best foot forward, not only to expose and build young talent, but to raise their performance after finishing 13th in the 2012 PNG Games held in Kokopo.
