Mineral Resource Authority Visit Simberi

Executive of Mineral Resource Authority (MRA) have visited the deep sea tailing operations at the Simberi gold mine in the New Ireland Province over the weekend.

And they have expressed satisfaction at the safety and social responsibilities employed by St. Barbara, the developer.

MRA managing Director, Jerry Garry visit the mine for the first time, accompanied his Executive Manager for Development Co-ordination, Andrew Gunua.

Both men were impressed at the application of modern technologies used by the company in its underwater tailings placement pipeline at the mine.

They also visited community oriented projects.

St Barbara has Gold mining with operations in Australia, Canada and Papua New Guinea.
