Some Four thousand Lutheran women attending a weeklong conference in Mumeng in the Morobe province have demanded independence for West Papua and an end to Indonesian atrocities.
They've also called on Morobe governor Kelly Naru, to take their concerns to parliament.
Spokeswoman, RoseMiungepe, said the PNG government has to acknowledge the difficulties faced by the West Papuans.
