After day 1 of the 2017 Morobe Open, former winner Michael Wright has hit 8 under par for 67, with defending champion Damien Jordan two shots off.
A strong field of contenders and rookies on the tour are still in the hunt, with over K270,000 up for grabs.
Wright with -8 is two shots ahead of Damien Jordan , while Troy Moses from NSW and Queenslander Tim Hart are equal third at the moment with -5 for 66.
Blake Proverbs, Josh Cabban, Nelson Turner and Martin Dive round off the top 10.
