Twelve students in NCD have been announced as winners of the Kumul Petroleum Holdings 2018 Calendar Competition.
With National Literacy Week this week, KPHL General Manager Stakeholder Relations, Ian Marru, said giving the opportunity for underprivileged children can help lift the poor literacy rate in our country.
Embracing literacy and providing avenues, was the key message by KPHL to enhance learning for underprivileged children.
Life PNG Care National Director, Collin Pake, said such achievement can be a difference for these children.
He said literacy is becoming a challenge for many, but the small presentation will be an inspiration for the winners.
The 12 winning entries will be used in KPHL’s 2018 calendar.
The entries include illustrations depicting this year’s National Literacy Week theme – “Quality Literacy – Quality Life”.
The winners received Theodist vouchers for K100 each for age categories 6 to 15 years and K200 for 16 to 20 years.
The twelve winners were chosen among 40 others.
