Kosipe Village in Goilala receives K40,000 worth of agricultural tools

Forty thousand Kina worth of Agricultural tools was delivered to Kosipe village in the Woitape LLG in Goilala district last week.

Member for Goilala, William Samb distributed the tools to four main clans in Kosipe village, to help with the English potato project, an initiative that began in 2016.

According to Samb, the project is still in its trial stage and he would like the villagers to learn from it and improve their farming technics.

After the presentation of the tools, the MP was given the honors to harvest the potato plots with the villagers.

Samb said, Kosipe is historically known for agriculture and he aims for the village to live by that reputation in producing quality produce and have it supplied to Port Moresby.

The tools were brought in at the request of the community leaders in Kosipe. The MP is urging the villagers to take ownership of the initiative to better sustain themselves.
