Komo Magarima District in Hela opened its new district headquarters building recently.
Speaking to his people, the Komo Magarima MP, says the 2017 National Election will be a new era for the district.
MP Potape said a new leader will be elected and many new things will happen for the District to progress.
“Elections will be interesting and those who wish to contest must have the heart of delivering services to the people,” said MP Potape.
The new building opened will house district officers starting this month.
The building cost the District K3million. The opening also signifies the resignation of District Administrator, Tumbi Harry.
Three new vehicles bought by the District were presented to the new District CEO, District treasurer and District School inspector.
MP Potape said the vehicles are for the District for public servants to use.
“We hope the new vehicles will be helpful in improving services to reach people”, said MP Potape.
Over 500 people gathered at Magarima Station to witness the occasion.
