Koim : Attack Won’t Stop Services

By Jack Lapauve Jr – EM TV, Port Moresby

South Anglimp MP, Joe Koim says the recent attack on him would not stop him from visiting his electorate.

Mr Koim arrived in Port Moresby this morning to clear rumors and events surrounding his attack by tugs in a remote council ward in his district. He described the attack as a black day for the South Anglimp people and says delivery of services earmarked for his term will progress.

Koim appealed to his people for peace and allow police to investigate the matter.

Koim and his accompanies, were forced to stop and step-out of the car while driving to visit a 15 kilometres road project. He said the suspects used knives and threaten him, with others.

Four suspects have been arrested by the Jiwaka police. He called for leaders in all ward councils to maintain peace throughout the festive season and to let police handle the case.

The South Anglimp MP sustained no injuries during the attack.
