Hela Elites Review Development Plan for Province

By Jack Lapauve Jr – EM TV, Port Moresby

Hela elites want to see a collaborative and integrated approach in implementing Hela’s development framework.

Chairman of Hela Development Seminar, Habia Babe, says the provincial government must not turn a blind eye on linking home-grown plans to the national plan and made this statement after the closure of the 3rd Hela Biannual Development Seminar held in Port Moresby.

The assessing of the progress and envisioning of Hela’s long term plan 2014 to 2044, plays a significant step for the Hela people.

Mr Babe said that Hela’s developmental agenda can only be driven if people see the essence of change.

“This is important for Hela to properly develop as a new province,” he added.

He believes a collective input by all Hela people, from all levels of life, must be considered by current Hela political leaders.

A similar seminar will be held to brief the administration of the Hela provincial government.
