Gulf Governor, Chris Haiveta, stressed on road projects in Gulf in parliament today.
He questioned the Works Minister, Michael Nali on when the projects will commence and also those that are pending to be completed.
The questions raised by the Governor of Gulf Province, Chris Haiveta, were based on the road situation from Southern Highlands to Kikori in the Gulf Province.
“Can we please have an update on these developments?”
He wanted to know when the road will be completed and if any funds were available.
In response, the Works Minister, Michael Nali, admitted that the contract has already been awarded. Governor Haiveta also asked about the road work from Laloki to Hisiu and Epo to Kerema.
The Governor stated that contracts have been awarded.
