Before leaving for Madang, the Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare gave his exit speech on Friday as the founder of the National Alliance Party.
Grand Chief Sir Michael told NA candidates to be loyal to their parties because this was crucial for political stability.
He also apologised to the party and explained his reasons for crossing the floor during the Vote of Confidence last year.
