Garamuts Advance to the ICC U19 World Cup 2018

The PNG Under 19 Garamuts have booked their ticket to the ICC U19 World Cup early next year.

After a week’s battling against the likes of Samoa, Vanuatu and Fiji for the East Asia Pacific Qualifiers, the Garamuts sailed through all of their five matches, coming out on top.

It was seen as a boost for the PNG side when they beat Fiji by 4 wickets in their opener match in Apia, Samoa last week.

Their massive 212-run victory over host Samoa followed right after, setting them up on top of the ladder.

They then went on to scrape through with a winning finish against Vanuatu by 31 runs.

The victory was followed by the thrashing g reigning champions Fiji, by 210 runs.

With the World Cup already in sight, they are currently playing their last match against Vanuatu.
