FOX UNIT APPLAUDED

Police hierarchy has applauded the Fox Unit for their swift response to urgent calls in the city.

With the increase in violence resulting from ethnic clashes and other issues experienced in the city recently, the Fox Unit was proactive and swift to respond especially during the Erima incident.

The Fox Unit was created in 2019 with the intention to help curb law and order crime rates in the city and other urban areas.

Since its inception, at least seventy percent of criminal activities have declined, compared to previous years.

Fox Unit is always on stand-by and responds to calls via toll free number 1800 100.

They monitor hotspot areas and provide constant police presence in different suburbs of NCD.

According to Deputy Police Commissioner- Special Operations Donald Yamasombi, Police will continue to utilize support teams like the Fox Unit, Mobile Squads, Dog Units, Water Police, Police in the Headquarters and the Bandsmen to beef up operations in the city into December.
