By Jack Lapauve Jr – EMTV News, Port Moresby

A fitness club in Lae is walking to promote and make the streets of Lae safer for residents and the visiting public.

Sarah Haoda says many challenges have been faced however the group has managed to deal with those directly affected. The club says the group has met many challenges and hopes to work with stakeholders and authorities to encourage a safe campaign for Lae City.

The Club is gaining support as more residents join in to be part of the physical workout as well as spreading the message of making Lae safe for all. It’s not just an ordinary walk this group performs in the early morning hours of the day.

These residents of Lae want a safer Lae for all. They say the campaign is different from all its other activates and has progressed with many Lae residents joining. The Club is into its 4th month of running its programs.
