Successfully wrapping up its first Fight Night, the PNG Boxing Union has a chosen a select side to take on the visiting Queensland fighters tomorrow night in Port Moresby.
Fight Night will feature the young guns of boxing from the PNG Boxing Squad, such as 2013’s 57kg PNG Boxing Champion Chicko Emmanuel, 2009’s Women’s 51kg Featherweight Gold Medallist Jacklyn Wangi and returning women’s heavy weight Raphaela Baki.
The bouts are to be dually contested at the Lamana Hotel.
Individual tickets are K25 and corporate tables are going for K5000.
All funds raised are in support of the PNG Boxing Union, along with boxers in the Commonwealth Games and the 2015 Pacific Games.
The exhibition fights are an avenue to expose all fighters to a bigger stage as well as equip each fighter with experience.
