Fellowship In Union

It’s Day two of the 2014 Melanesian Arts and Culture Festival and already our Melanesian friends are adapting to PNG atmosphere.

The fifth Melanesian Arts and Culture Festival will be one event that will create lasting memories for our Melanesian friends.

Today, close to three hundred participants from three different countries fellowshipped in union with the local congregation of Sione Kami Memorial United Church in Port Moresby.

They include delegations from Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and West Papua.

The service also marks the spiritual beginning of the Arts and Culture Festival and the congregation was encouraged to practice good deeds.

After the service, there was item presentation and locals had the opportunity to mingle with our Melanesian visitors.

The Festival celebrations will commence at four o’clock this afternoon at the Festival village in Port Moresby. Countries that will take part include Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Solomon Island and PNG.

Emtv will also feature the opening ceremony of the Festival on Tok Piksa tonight.
