A Television Evangelist from the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in America, Pastor Doug Batchelor arrived in Mt Hagen yesterday for a week long Evangelistic meeting.
The meeting brought together more than 100,000 Seventh-Day Adventist and new interests from at least 12 Provinces in Papua New Guinea.
Pastor Doug Batchelor will be preaching about the ‘Last Day Events’ and ‘Politics’.
Pastor Doug Batchelor arrived yesterday in Mt Hagen with wife Karen Batchelor and his TV crew from his television series, Amazing Facts.
They were given standing ovation from Kagamuga International Airport all the way to Corn Farm Hatti, where the meeting is held.
The faithfuls braved the heavy downpour to get a glimpse of the guests.
Pastor Doug is an author, evangelist and the director of Amazing Facts, an evangelistic ministry that focuses on the Three Angels’ Messages.
Also present to welcome the guests was Opposition Leader, Don Polye who is also a member of the church.
Polye said PNG lacks stewardship and wise full management of resources.
He urged Pastor Doug to grace the Country with his message to guide the people to make informed decisions.
The faithfuls were in Mt. Hagen since March 20th and will end on April 4th.
The gathering will be to prepare the church members for the election period so that they can make good choices in voting and to avoid getting involved in trouble making.
