Entrepreneurs Complete Financial Literacy Course

A total of Ninety Small to Macro Entrepreneurs in Madang have completed a one-day Financial Literacy course hosted by BSP with the support of the National Development Bank.

The entrepreneurs were taught basic financial skills including personal financial management, budgeting and investing.

Tina Manamb is the Director of Kumul Organics that specializes in selling oil was one of the participants.

Manamb says it is important for Papua New Guineans to acquire knowledge on financial literacy.

“The information will help businessmen and women and anyone who is willing to save their money.”

Another participant, Luke Warahau who is a PMV Operator, says the course had taught him to save revenue generated from his pmv business whilst also encouraging him to budget.

Jemaiel Wanpis also shared similar sentiments as a working-class woman, the training has helped her to do other small businesses and has encouraged her to save as well.

The participants all received certificates at the end of the training.
