Oxfam PNG is soon to launch a new anti-violence campaign called the ‘Enough‘ Campaign.
The Enough campaign is an international campaign run by the Oxfam International, addressing violence.
The campaign’s initial planning and development was developed during a four day workshop facilitated by the Gender Justice Program in July this year.
During the workshop, partners from each community based organisation from Madang, Goroka, Simbu, Milne Bay and Port Moresby participated in a collaborative effort, to develop the campaign.
The campaign is now in its final stages and will be launched soon.
Once launched, it aims to engage more youth in the awareness phases, to empower them to be advocates against violence and be agents of change in their families and communities.
This is one of the first campaign initiatives Oxfam PNG will be working on, together with its partners to execute, deliver and achieve the set goals and objectives.
The campaign will run for three years to allow for monitoring, assessment and evaluate its effectiveness and impacts on individuals, families and the communities as a whole.
The campaign will be launched in November 20.
