The delivery of 2017 Elementary School Curriculum materials to schools throughout Papua New Guinea will be delayed.

This was the message from Education Department Curriculum and Measurement Assistant Secretary, Steven Tandale.

Mr. Tandale told EMTV News that distribution will depend on shipping dates determining transportation of these study kits to respective ports in the country.

“The Department is fully responsible for the package materials to be delivered to all schools throughout the country,” he continued.

There would be delay with the delivery of the 2017 Elementary Curriculum materials for schools in the Momase, Highlands, and New Guinea Island Regions in the country.

Schools within the National Capital District have their SBC already delivered to schools which teachers, and students are currently using.

However, for schools in the Central, and Gulf Province education officials are negotiating with contractors, Treid Pacific to have their package delivered to schools.

Meanwhile, the Education Department is working closely with stakeholders concerned in ensuring that all materials are being delivered to schools.
