A former senior public servant says Papua New Guinea needs to have new leaders to chart a way forward and be developed.
Dr Peter Kora says that PNGs elite generation must become leaders.
Kora said his party ‘PNG Socialist Party’ aims to partner with young vibrant candidates to be voted into parliament and become decision makers.
Dr Kora says the world is changing at a faster pace and PNG needs leaders who can think fast and improve PNGs development agenda.
He says the coming election provides that opportunity for new leaders to rise.
Despite being at the level of becoming an Assistant Secretary in the Planning Department, Dr Kora said PNG needs a strong Governing system. He adds that the PNG Socialist Party’s main goal is to achieve that through its first part pillar – “submission to the rule of law”.
Kora shares that the PNG Socialist Party has four Pillars, Uphold Rule of Law, Fair Distribution of wealth, embracing Christianity and Promote Nationalism. It will be a hard fought battle for Dr Kora to contest in the 2017 National Elections, but he says, the use of recycled leaders must stop.
Meanwhile, less than four days remain before the Issuing of Writs and for the Nominations Open.
