Unitech Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr Paul Gena, said the selection criteria for the satellite university will be similar to other tertiary institutions.
Dr Gena said school leavers who do not meet the requirements must upgrade their marks before they apply.
He adds, the Satellite University must be a model for tertiary education in the Highlands Region.
Applications for school leavers will be issued after the 2017 General Elections.
