Department of Works Must Be Consulted for Infrastructural Development Projects

Works Minister, Michael Nali, has signalled all MPs to consult the Works Department with their infrastructure development plans for roads and bridges.

Minister Nali says many projects constructed by foreign companies through private deals with individual MPs record shortfalls and projects are left incomplete.

He made this statement in yesterday’s Parliament session when responding to questions raised by Rai Coast MP, Peter Sapia, on the incomplete project.

It was a project initiated by the former MP, who engaged a Korean company for the construction of two bridges. What’s left is a situation of incomplete projects.

Minister Nali has requested the Rai Coast MP to write to his office for deliberate action to be executed.
