Cultural Tourism One Avenue To Raise Revenue

East New Britain Province will continue to tap into cultural tourism, one avenue, to raise its internal revenue.

Governor Eraman ToBaining Junior, says the unsteady commodity price, has been unpromising for many farmers.

For this reason, the provincial government has identified other sources that can drive the economy forward.

While Papua New Guinea is experiencing, a drop in commodity prices, farmers have suffered as a consequence.

Governor Ereman ToBaining Junior says the East New Britain Provincial Government, has identified its way forward to recover its economy and that is through culture and tourism.

Funds will be allocated as part of the promotional package.

All bureaucrats will work together, to ensure this goal is achieved, and that it also generates opportunities for the locals.

Meanwhile, with East New Britain, tagged as a tourism hub province of Papua New Guinea, more work will be done to improve existing infrastructure like the new Rabaul Tokua Airport, and sporting facilities.

Its primary aim is for the international standards to be achieved, for any future events.
