The Central Music Festival is taking place from May 24th to 26th at Kwikila in Rigo district. This wonderful festival will celebrate PNG’s incredible musical heritage and talent, bringing both to life through Festival events in Kwikila – and on-screen across the nation – via an EMTV broadcast.

The Central Music Association is staging the Central Music Festival at Kwikila in Rigo district today Friday May 24 to Sunday May 26. The event is proudly supported by PNG-owned Telikom, making a K25,000 donation to telecast this incredible three-day festival so the whole nation can get into the groove.

EMTV as the Official Television Broadcaster, and Telikom as the Festival’s exclusive Telecommunications Partner, will help bring the amazing sounds and cultural diversity of PNG to life across the nation over three wonderful days.

In the words of Telikom’s Chief Executive Officer, Amos Tepi, the event has a wonderful significance for PNG. “As a proud PNG-owned company, we appreciate local content and wish to support local artists, both upcoming and those who are already renowned in the music industry.”

Making music together and sharing our culture is part of who we are as Papua New Guineans. Having The Central Music Festival broadcast for free will provide so much enjoyment and appreciation of each other across the nation.

Stay tuned for more and enjoy the show either in person, or on EMTV.
