Central Bougainville launched its first-ever 5 Year Development Plan 2018-2020 last week.
The Plan came about as a result of development consultations with community chairmen, ward council members health and education officers as well as officers of the Department of National Planning and Monitoring.
This was to ensure that the Plan was aligned with the Medium Term Development Plan III, Vision 2050, and the ABG Strategic Plan
National Planning Minister Sam Basil was there to receive the plan from local MP Sam Akiotai.
MP Akiotai says the plan is the dream of the people to bring about development in Central Bougainville.
The plan enforces a theme to empower the People of Central Bougainville to secure their future through sustainable economic growth and by embracing the Digital Age.
