The business arm of National Housing Corporation (NHC), National Housing Estate (NHE) is under probe.
Housing Minister, John Kaupa, says the company has operated outside the laws of the State. He says reports show non- compliance to operation ethics. Kaupa says the company will be abolished.
The Housing Minister stated alarming abuse, illegal deals and poor payment process followed by those working for the National Housing Estate.
Kaupa is now consulting with senior ministers of the cabinet with plans of liquidating the company.
Kaupa has maintained that those facing evictions on NHC properties must report to his office.
Mr Kaupa concluded saying NHC is going through a major investigation and has asked all stakeholders for their cooperation to fix the state agency.
On a similar matter, Minister Kaupa has asked former North East MP, Labi Amaiu, to explain the 301 titles he obtained from a piece of land, Duran Farm.
The National Housing Estate is the business arm of State agency NHC.
