Binatangs Win Second Game

Our U-14 Binatang’s secured their third game with another convincing win against the Brisbane North Development Squad.

Despite poor decisions and a toll on the tackling, the Binatangs once again, with the use of their speed and skills, overpowered their rivals with 8 goals and 7 behinds to Brisbane North’s 2 goals and 4 behinds.

The speechless Lae lad, Kelly Kaugla, took the Coach’s award.

Captain Justin Muruve, Finley Reid and Eddie Manzin were also commended for their consistent effort in the field.

The change in format in this year’s championship focuses solely on developing and equipping young footballers with required skills rather than simply the winning factor.

Finishing 5th in this year’s championships, Coach Ben Drew and Team Manager Elliot Takolu commended the Binatangs on their behavior on and off the field.

They hope that their experiences are shared with other players when they return to their respective centers.
