The Hebou PNG Barramundis took on the United Arab Emirates two days ago in their opener match of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe.
That match slipped from the Barras’ hold by 56 runs. Despite winning the toss, the Barras opted not to bat first.
And that decision backfired on them when United Arab Emirates’ top order sped past 80 runs in 18 overs.
By the time they reached their allotted 50, they already recorded 221.
The second inning was rain affected with the Barras having 22 overs deducted from their chase.
And their bad luck seemed to continue as their reply was not as strong as it could have been.
They were bowled out at a disappointing 113 in the 25th over.
The Barras took on Ireland late this afternoon (PNG time) in their 2nd attempt.
