BANK SUPPORTS POLICE

The Police Reservist Branch in the National Capital District and Central Provincial commands has been working with regular police officers in the command to make sure that police presence is felt throughout the region.

While acknowledging their efforts in keeping the command safe, the Bank of South Pacific today presented items that were needed by the police officers to perform their administrative duties.

The command’s Reservist Coordinator, Chief Inspector Ruben Giusu, received stationery donations this morning from representatives of BSP Bank at the Saraga Police Post. While thanking the bank for its support, he also promised that police officers will continue to work closely with BSP, other businesses houses, and the general public to make sure the NCD/Central Command is safe for everyone.

He noted that some officers from the bank are also police reservists serving in the command and have been very helpful in supporting regular members.

The commander of the NCD/Central Command, Benjamin Turi, also thanked BSP for its support of the reservist branch, which has been very supportive of regular officers in the command. He stated that this is a way forward for the police and community working in partnership.

”We are pleased to see support from businesses that are supporting the police in both their administrative and operational duties in the command. When we work together, we help each other to make Port Moresby and Central Province a better place to live,” Commander Turi said.
