The PNG Electoral Commission told EMTV News that ballot papers have been dispatched to all provinces.
This was with the help of the Australian Defence Force, who assisted in airlifting some of the ballot papers to the Highlands region.
The ballot papers are part of what the Electoral Commission calls ‘Sensitive Election Materials’ that were dispatched to provinces.
The other sensitive materials include:
- Candidate Posters
-
Polling Schedules
-
CUG (closed user group) Mobile Phones for Polling Teams
-
Indelible Inks and
-
Electoral Rolls.
The commission said sensitive materials for the New Guinea Islands, Momase and Southern Region were dispatched over the last three weekends ago while the Highlands region was completed over a week ending last Friday.
