Stret Pasin Stoa Scheme

Thousands of small trade store owners and coffee buyers in Morobe province have submitted their loan applications to the National Development Bank under the Stret Pasin Stoa Scheme.

They are still awaiting feedback from the bank to fund their small enterprises.

A trade store owner from Zifasing village Wilson Ubulea said he was one of the 4,500 applicants who have responded to a full page advertisement in the National newspaper in March this year.

However, six months has lapsed and there has been no response.

He is now appealing to Minister for Commerce, Trade and Industry Richard Maru to advise small scale entrepreneurs about the 130 million kina funding to revive the Stret Pasin Stoa Scheme in PNG.
