Air Niugini passengers were left stranded after their flights were cancelled not once but three times.

Several Air Niugini flights out of Port Moresby were cancelled on Saturday, and affected most were those bound for Goroka.

They say on two separate occasions the plane encountered technical problem while taxing out of the run way,

And there was only one cabin crew on board that forced the flights to be cancelled.

It is understood Air Niugini is using its new ticketing system, which many passengers claim may have caused the delays.

However, the Airlines management cannot be reached to verify to these claims.

All passengers were booked into hotels and were scheduled to fly out to Goroka at 1:40pm yesterday.

Air Niugini yesterday confirmed that services to Goroka has resumed its normal schedule.
