Member for Wabag and Chairman of the Parliamentary Referral Committee on Education, Robert Ganim, said the nationwide inquiry into teachers’ salaries and entitlements is now finalized to be tabled.
Mr Ganim says, the report has gone through stages of compilation, editing and proof reading.
The report should have been tabled in parliament on May 20, but PRCE was unable as parliament rose earlier. However, Mr Ganim is anticipating to table the report when Parliament resume on August 26th.
Meanwhile, Chairman Ganim says the report remains a property of the parliament and PRCE is obliged not to release any details of the findings for public consumption.
He thanked all who have participated in the report, and assured teachers that PRCE will use its powers to change ways things are done in handling teachers’ salaries and entitlements.
Mr Ganim made this statement in respond to a letter to the editor in one of the daily papers.
